We all blend into our immediate environment, from time to time. This revelation came to me when I was quite young, so I just called myself a “Human Chameleon“. My senses tell me what to do. When I try to think, I think too much, and multiple options, make it difficult for me to make a choice. So I have learned to trust my immediate senses.
Listen to your gut when you step into the voting booth, June 10. Maine Democrats have too many choices, especially in Congressional District 1.
After the trials of becoming a Delegate, at the Maine Democratic Convention, I stayed to listen to speeches. How crazy is that? But the speeches were good, and I felt strong about the future of the Maine Democratic Party.
My top three in order:
Chelli Pingree: Worked with Common Cause and has the most experience in Washington, D.C. She could easily work with the current Congressional members for change. WINNER
Adam Cote: He has the support of the Maine Veterans, and his speech was Heart Felt.
Eathan Strimling: Strong speaker, strong handshake. “Bring your values to Washington!”
Sorry, just can’t trust Tom Allen. WINNER
Tom Ledue made a gallant effort, with little recognition.
Henry Beck - State Representative District #76 - Waterville Native. WINNER
Trust your own Gut when voting!
comment:
tom allen is a really good guy
he has a great voting record
He's a smart guy......
He might actually win.
we're in the second district
but chellie pingree is great.....
she had a great record in the maine legislature
and i was also really impressed with brennan at the convention
ethan strimling seems like a demagogue to all i spoke with
but he has a good anti war message
cote is just and ex republican cashing in on the obvious trends
blah blah blah

Final Resting Place,
Arlington, VA
As an inspirational speaker, Robert F. Kennedy, would weave, poetry and literature into his political speeches. On this day, 40 years ago, he was triumphant over Hubert Humphry in the California Primary, and delivered a Victory speech. Kennedy opposed the war in Vietnam and was dedicated to fighting poverty. He was on the trail to become the Democratic Nominee for President of the United States. How may History change if Robert F. Kennedy lived long enough to become President?

"My dedication to this sacred duty is total and whole-hearted. In the responsibility bestowed on me never will I falter. And with dignity and preserverance my standard will remain perfection. Through the years of diligence and praise, and the discomfort of the elements, I will walk my tour in humble reverence to the best of my ability. It is he who commands the respect I protect. His bravery that made us so proud. Surrounded by well meaning crowds by day, alone in the thoughtful peace of night, this soldier will in honored glory rest under my enternal vigilance."

Back across the bridge to nowhere, I went, hoping to see a sign for Hamilton Rd. No sign. (A GPS might help me here.) I pulled into a convenience store at about 10:30 P.M. Luckily two Police Officers pulled up right beside me. A 6’10’, black officer got out of the squad car, holding a few bucks in his hand. I stopped him in his tracks,
“Excuse me officer, could you please help me with some directions?” "I love giving directions. Where do you want to go?”
I showed him the map, “See Route 514 from New Brunswick to Ringoes. How do I get on this road?”
“Go about 5 miles straight down the road you’re on, until you come to an EXXON station on the right. Then turn left onto Victoria, and go straight to Hamilton Road. Turn Left onto Hamilton, and Hamilton will turn into Amwell Road.”
“Thanks! It all makes sense now.” I said.
He responded, “I told you I really like to give direction.” Then he walked into the store, with the cash in hand.
When I got to the EXXON Station, I turned left. I am on my way. Stop! There was no sign saying Victoria. Now, my Gas Light for Empty, came on. Back down the unnamed road to EXXON, for gas.
A man from, another world, came over to my Tacoma Truck. I told him, “Fill up at $3.51 a gallon.” (May 12, 2008)
Then I made the mistake of asking him, as I pointed, “Is that Victoria? (Perhaps real VICTORY, I thought) I am looking for Route 514 West.”
He said, “Hamilton Road is Route 514, it is in same direction as this road. Turn left next, then when at Hamilton, turn right.”
Perhaps that, tall, black, efficient police officer made a mistake. So off I went following the direction given to me by the man at the gas pump. After all he works right here. Yes, there was a sign for Hamilton Road, and I turned right, but soon noticed the next road sign said, Route 514 East. Turn around again!
Finally Hamilton Road did turn into Amwell Road. Glory Be, there was a road sign, Route 514 West. I must be on the right road, finally. My cell phone sound told me that I got a new text message. “I’m going to bed, turn all the lights out, Mike.”
My arrival at Farmhouseruins was 11:45 P.M. I could have actually made it to Washington D.C. in the same amount of time it took me to go from New Brunswick to Ringoes, N.J. (8:30 P.M. to 11:45 P.M.)
Never give up Hillary! The working poor know that you are there for them, and we need your Voice. Obama may be able to give a good speech. Will his direction get us to where we want to go?

The bridge to nowhere, did not lead me to Route 514 West, going to Ringoes. No choice but to keep driving on, driving to find the END again. At 10 P.M., Michael calls my cell. He thought that I decided to go straight to Washington, because I wasn’t at the Farmhouseruins, yet. I told him that I was still on my way to Ringoes and I will be there eventually. "It isn't as easy to find as you may think."
Michael's friend Carla said, “Find Amwell Road, and you will find Route 514 West."
Back to the END sign again. No Amwell Road along the way. Another Gas Station, close by,though. It looks more inviting, this time. The two cakes on the counter caught my eye. I grabbed my map and ran in. A red baseball cap, placed backward on a young man’s head, moved close to the counter. The 22 year old man immediately addressed me and said, “She comes with a map.”
"The cakes look good.“ I said. One was a chocolate cake with vanilla frosting and shaved chocolate candy on top; the other cake had coconut frosting.
"My buddy, who works up the road, brought these cakes for me. They‘re extra’s. I don’t like coconut, so I’m going to give that one to my girlfriend. And I can‘t wait to eat the other cake. I'm really hungry. Let me get my local maps to help you, first.”
I showed him the direct Route 514 West to Ringoes, on my map. He said,“Look here, that is Hamilton Road that turns into Amwell."
BEEP! BEEP! “Somebody wants gas, I gotta go. Just go across the bridge and find Hamilton Road.”
The picture is a little clearer, but it wasn't enough, because there was no sign for Hamilton Road.
Don't let anybody interrupt you, until you get the complete answer. The working poor need a voice in the United States, they can't live on free cake.
Hillary, we need you to stay in the Presidential Race to the bitter end. I'm afraid that the DNC will not listen to me, or people like me, they are too interested in a gifted Orator, to listen to my crude words. They want to hear beautiful words, instead of feeding the poor. I am so sorry that the Obama team has rudely interrupted you with a loud BEEP! BEEP!

Happy, happy, happy I am, driving on route 514 West, thinking that I will see my son, Michael within a half hour, at the Farmhouseruins in Ringoes. Then a sign appeared, “Merging Route 27 South.” There must be a turn for 514 West to continue on to Ringoes. Only about one-half mile down the road, there was a big tree, with a trunk so large I could not see the next sign at the intersection. Then out of nowhere the sign appears, Route 514 West ENDS.
Right! I am not at Ringoes, where am I? So, I continue South on Route 27, and see no sign pointing me to Ringoes, or Flemington, or anyplace familiar to the location I’ve been several times before. I pull over, look at my map again, and there is nothing new, just a clear Route 514 West, from New Brunswick to Ringoes. Would a GPS help me now?
Turn around, go back to the End sign and see if another sign was missed. Nothing! At 9:30 P.M. my truck turns into the nearest Gas Station after the END sign. Out comes the attendant to fill gas. No gas needed, just directions. Right! This man is from another world. He knows no English.
“Where am I?“ I ask. He could not answer.
Using hand gestures, pointing and saying, “North, South, East, West of New Brunswick?”
He said, “Highland Park here, over the Bridge, New Brunswick.”
Sure enough there was a bridge, I did not notice it, while driving and looking for signs. So I went over the bridge to nowhere. That is where the Democratic Party is at this time. Nowhere.
The Solution to the End of this Democratic Presidential Campaign, 2008 is just over the Bridge. The DNC with it’s national party organization plan is in good position to win the White House in November. The infrastructure is clearly in place.
To successfully fulfill the responsibility of a super delegate at the DNC, all American Voices must be heard. Florida and Michigan must take a seat at the National Convention. The Obama Campaign can not be so arrogant, as to assume that their candidate is the presumptive nominee, at this time. A super delegate must be able to translate all American Tongues into one Voice. They are responsible for getting the candidates to the final destination. They are the Supreme Court of the DNC.
Super delegates who commit too soon without hearing every voice, will lose my respect and my vote. They are lost on a road to nowhere just over the bridge.

Oh My God! Lost again! My drive to Washington D.C. took a turn to an unplanned location. I got off the New Jersey Garden State Parkway, at New Brunswick. Proud of myself, I pulled over and checked my organized packet of maps. No GPS technology needed here. The New Jersey Map showed me a direct route from New Brunswick to Ringoes, NJ, my destination for the night. It was easy to find Route 514 West, at the end of the main street in Historic Clara Barton.
What a great find at 8:30 P.M on May 12. I thought to myself, “Clara Barton is a great Woman in American History“. The Bright Banners posted in this town acted as a system placing me in the proper global position.
"Barton opened a free school in New Jersey. The attendance under her leadership grew to 600 but instead of hiring Barton to head the school, the board hired a man. Frustrated, she moved to Washington D.C. and began work as a clerk in the U.S. Patent Office; this was the first time a woman had received a substantial clerkship in the federal government.” http://americancivilwar.com/women/cb.html
Unfortunately, the current mindset of the American male is still set in 19th Century mode. Some values in the Obama Camp, seem set in the time of Clara Barton, where a man will be hired, first, over a hard working, qualified woman. As an illustration, please visualize how this mindset is out of place in the 21st Century. Just take a gander at the women, how they act and dress, at the controversial FLDS Compound.
In contrast, look at Hillary Clinton, a tenacious, independent woman who wears pant suits. She is working hard to establish a leadership position in the 21st Century. She wants the position as the Head Master of the United States, (a.k.a. President). Hillary earned it, she has more popular votes than any man in the 2008 Presidential Campaign.
Why is our modern media, and Obama acting like he already has the job? How arrogant, Barack! I say, it is because the value system in the Democratic Party is still set back in the 19th Century. Look ahead in time, not backwards.
On May 31, 2008, the Democratic Party Rules Committee will act, as if they too were the Board of Director’s of the Free School in New Jersey. They will make a decision that will determine Hillary Clinton’s Fate.

Gas Costs: Gas $3.51 - $4.05 a gallon. New Jersey is the cheapest. And they pump too.
Lodging: Cheapest Lodging in DC area - $159.00 Night even with a Military Discount.
Driving time reduced?: Try traffic and rain from Baltimore to New Haven Conneticut on a Friday, 12:00 noon to 8:30 pm. 30 miles an hour stop and go. (My inner thighs got chafted by the inseam of my jeans. Clutch, Break, Clutch, Break, So what good is Cruise Control?)
Windshield wipe: back and forth, back and forth, made me cross-eyed.
STOP!: Finally a service area for a rest, in New Haven. Sleep is precious even in a Tacoma passenger's seat. Two hours got me to Massachussettes.
STOP! Cross-eyed again. No Rest Stops, No Service Areas! Go off I-95 at mid-night? No. NO. Lost again!
STOP! Welcome to Massachusettes. Rest area, but no Facilities. Sleep again in the passenger's seat.
Awake 4:15 AM: Facilities open at 7:00 AM Find a Turn Off to 24 hour Tim Horton's, 3 miles down the road..
Forgot to say Decaf, before using the Facilities. Had to wait for a new pot to brew. Ate too much sugar. A Blueberry Fritter, loaded with sugar, knocked me out in less than an hour.
Found a 24hr McDonald's on I95 and went to sleep in the passenger's seat.
Woke up around 7:30 AM, time to drive all the way back to Waterville, Maine.
Finally Bonded with my Tacoma Truck. I spent more than 24 hours inside, from Washington to Maine, with too much time in the rain.
